As far as the performances are concerned, absolutely no prizes for guessing who is the undisputed captain of the ship – Kangna Ranaut, who delivers a career best performance. Her performance in the film is definitely award worthy, which will also add one more feather in her cap after QUEEN. She really knows how to carry the film on her shoulders. Despite having excelled in both the roles, it is her portrayal of Kusum with Haryanvi accent that remains etched forever. The impact of her roles is so significant that you just cannot imagine any other actress in her role. She gets into the skin of both the characters the very way like a fish takes to water.

Okay so one thing is clear, new age Bollywood movies are the epitome of Indian fashion and style in the cinematic history.Gilded chiffon sarees, traditional salwar kameez with heavy embroideries, lehengas with exquisite and maximalist work of traditional Indian techniques is what you think of when you hear about the fashion in a “high-on bling” Punjabi wedding. If something that could be seen after Kangana’s spiky character from the film; that is the styling been done for both of her roles in the movie.

One is Tanu; who’s just too dramatic, fearless, and straight forward and smart. With her spiky bold attitude; from her openings shots of she arriving to india in an cream saree with blush pink highlights on the train worn under a trench coat. What I loved about her opening sequence in india was her ability to show her culture which might be done intentionally by her as she was returning back to her family in Kanpur by wearing a classic red bindi and hair were perfectly tighten at back.
Whilst the movie, her looks were getting better embracing more of her personality.
The movie was colour-rich in fashion. It had that sense of vibrancy and textural elements to it.
Seems like pastel tones were favourite of Tanu, sarees were ethereal and beautiful and was perfectly adjusting to the mood and the vibe of the sequence.

Her day-off looks while she was travelling in the city on bikes were my absolute favourites, something where only kanganacould fit in and pull it off like no other: printed flowy patialas with plain silk blouses; that too worn with the half-sleeved jackets made the look more of her. Who can miss the Dior round sunglasses which made me swoon and even contact a spokesperson of dior to find if there’s a sale coming up to get a hands on those beauties. Her hair were completing the look with the utmost swag.

Kangana made us show her love for Burberry by donning a beautiful burberry scarf with a classic trench coat in a night shot from the movie; again, under a saree.
Kangana’s other role in the movie named – Kusum was completely and totally opposite to Tanu; a typical middle class haryanvi girl who’s strong at heart and has a dangerous tongue to get a conversation into when first met.

Her looks in the movie were very usual to a girl described, into dark and really awkward shades of traditional suits paired with men’s bomber jackets.
I loved when her sweaters were as bright as her attitude with Manu in the film. She was always hopping around the city in dupattas (worn with suits) and non-fussy backpack.
There isn’t much to talk about her looks in the movie.

Compiling and seeing Tanu’s looks, she was quie amazing; her orange tint number in the last song of the movie “Ghani Baawri” – where she danced in a baraat with all the grace she had but never portrayed it that beautifully but with a pinch of her wild side too; she was wearing a pataiala-kurti combo. I loved the vibrant colour of the kurti with mirrorwork on it.
