Music is an amazing thing.The right inspiring or motivational song can give you a quick kick in the backside. The most inspiring songs are the songs that motivate us and trigger us into action, songs that remind us on the beauty of life songs that lift us up when we’re down, songs that remind us of who we are. With hundreds and thousands of great songs out there, it is challenging to narrow down the list.
1.Alive – Empire of the Sun
Empire of the sun are as much performance artists as they are musicians. One of the things that the band are able to do is create a huge atmosphere in this track with techniques such as vocal and instrumental layering and it sounds really good for it and as mentioned otherworldly .Although the lyrics could be passed off as ones that reference love I think that there is slightly more explicit meaning to the song though and is in fact relating to drug use.
2. Lose Yourself – Eminem
Eminem had to go through a lot in early stages of his life. This song is his story of how he overcame everything that came into his way and won. One of the most inspiring and amazingly written songs ever. For this song Eminem won Best Rap Song Grammy and Best Original Song Academy Awards. If you haven’t heard this song, you should right away. Once, I was listening this song with my cat. She transformed into a tiger. No kidding.
3. Imagine- The Beatles
Imagine is one of my favorite songs. One of my very good friends had recommended it to me once. I haven’t stopped listening to it when I have my lows. John Lennon has created such a beautiful song that it starts the spark you need in you.
4. Chariots of Fire – Vangelis
This instrumental theme song from the Chariots of Fire movie is perhaps the most iconic, recognizable inspirational music score of the 20th century. It may spur you to pantomime in slow motion, but when the music stops you’ll be well on your way.
5. It’s my life – Jon Bon Jovi
I have a perma-crush on Jon Bon Jovi (who doesn’t?). He’s so confident! Lucky for me, there’s enough swagger and attitude packed into this song to take me from meek and mild to bold and brazen without having to rely on a personal encounter with a rock star.
6. I will Survive – Gloria Gaynor
There is nothing quite like looking at the bane of your existence and telling him/her/it exactly like it is. No one delivers that confidence and sass quite like Gloria does in this all-time classic. Just one bar of that opening piano riff is enough to get you moving, but have a listen to the whole thing and see just how much you can accomplish by the last note.
7. Here comes the Sun – The Beatles
If there is any rock band who are deserved to be quoted as the greatest ever, they are the Beatles. A band with John Lennon and Paul McCartney in it are destined for greatness. But guess what? This song was not written by either of the legends. But the guy who made this song is another genius, George Harrison.
8. Eye of the Tiger- Survivor
Everyone already knows that Rocky series is immaculate. But what makes it even greater are the songs like this. Cult, electric guitar, and everything inspiring. Doesn’t get better.
9. Radioactive – Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons released a very powerful song which dives into the topic of determination. If you want to feel the oozing determination spilled out then take a listen to the song, you will not be regret it. This song is a must listen prior to any test you may take in college!
10. We are the champions- Queen
This song is almost impossible to listen to without its traditional lead-in, “We Will Rock You.” Yet while that proceeding song serves as a means to pump you up, this song’s lyrics work to inspire you to rise above diversity and stay strong, even if you get your share of sand kicked in your face. You will ultimately be proven victorious if you do.
11. What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky, are also on the faces of people going by, I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do, but they’re really saying I love you. I have no clue what is up with Armstrong surname, but it seems everything they touch turns into gold. Inspiring words, inspiring music. Chills everytime.
12. Ain’t no Mountain High Enough – Marvin Gaye and Tammy tarrell
Though a love song, this song serves as great motivation to remind you that nothing can stop you from reaching your goals and that together you can get through green pastures.
13. Remember the Name – Fort Minor
“This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain.” Focus and work hard, it’s not going to be plain sailing, but if you want to reach your destination, you need determination.
14. Someday – Flipsyde
Someday is the debut hit single of the band Flypside and was also the theme song for NBC’s coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. It was chosen for the games because the lyrics focus on courage and perseverance toward future goals even though success may seem impossible.
15. Dream on – Aerosmith
Sing with it, sing for the year, sing for the laughter, sing for the tears, sing with me if it’s just for today, maybe tomorrow the good lord will take you away.

One of the most iconic songs of the SHM, give you the highest degree of inspiration with its amazing and chilling music giving a great reminder that you can do whatever you want to do.
17. Good Vibrations – Beach Boys
Reflecting the title of the song, it is a song that gives good vibrations. this song was deep rooted in the childhood memories of their biggest talent Brian Wilson’s mind. His mother had talked to him about vibrations—invisible forces that filled the air. She illustrated the lesson by pointing out that dogs barked at some people and not others because they picked up “bad vibrations” from them.
18. Hall of Fame – The Script feat. Will.I.am
You can be the greatest, you can be the best. What’s inspirational, if this song isn’t? “You can walk straight through HELL with a SMILE.” It’s also really catchy. Sometimes it’s not the lyrics that make you feel inspired, the tune of the song makes you feel like there’s another hidden message in it.

Always being in helmets is ironic to being inspirational yet they create a powerful charm spell on their audience giving them a sense of strength.”Work it harder, make it better, do it faster, makes us stronger.” Working smart increases your output. Focus on doing it smart.
21. Fix You – Coldplay
Chris martin is prodigy, amazing lyrics, soul touching music and soothing voice.The song was originally written for someone very close that passed away. It gives the strength to move on and live no matter how hard the times become.
22. The Nights – Avicii
This song is Avicii’s contribution to the soundtrack of EA Sports’ FIFA 15. The Nights by Avicii is an ode to good fun and also to the singers father. The “pirate-y fight” sound to the song was inspired by the bars in Ireland, where the play folk music which is upbeat and easy to dance (and drink) to.
23. Theme song – Pirates of the Caribbean
It is the theme song for the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions at the theme parks of the Disney World. The song Hoist the Colours told the tale of the binding of Calypso by the Pirate King and the First Brethren Court. It was also used as the method of summoning the Court to stand together in the pirates’ most dire need.
